## The Block object

A Stacks block: chain linkage and Bitcoin anchor. Only what ingest stores; no miner, tx count or cost data.

| Field | Type | Description |
| --- | --- | --- |
| `cursor` | string | `<block_height>:0`. Pass as `cursor`. |
| `block_height` | integer | Stacks block height. |
| `block_hash` | string | The block's hash. |
| `parent_hash` | string | The parent block's hash. |
| `burn_block_height` | integer | The Bitcoin block it anchors to. |
| `burn_block_hash` | string · nullable | That Bitcoin block's hash. |
| `index_block_hash` | string · nullable | Nakamoto block id. Pass it as `?tip=` to a node read-only call to pin the read to this block. `null` on rows ingested before it was stored. |
| `block_time` | string · date-time · nullable | That block's timestamp, ISO 8601 UTC. |
| `canonical` | boolean | Whether the block is on the canonical chain. Always `true` in the list; a hash lookup can return an orphan. |
